Obituary for Bernard Charles Hughes

Bernard Charles Hughes, age 91, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Bernard was born August 27, 1930 at Ramsey, Indiana to the late Otis Joseph and Mary Jeanette Colin Hughes. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, retired from General Electric Appliance Park, Louisville. He was a member of K of C No 1808, Lanesville and Saint Bernard Catholic Church, Frenchtown, IN.

Also, preceding him in death were his wife Juanita Ruth Lynch Hughes; half brothers, Dallas, John B., Floyd and Vivian Hughes; half sister, Laverne O’Brien.

Sons: Charles Kevin Hughes (Debbie) of Corydon, IN
John D. Hughes (Sahlee) of Colorado Springs, CO
Daughters: Jennifer Hoehn (Ray) of Corydon, IN
Elizabeth Hooton (John) of Cincinnati, OH
Patricia Hall (Steve) of Vine Grove, KY
10 Grandchildren
12 Great Grandchildren

Funeral mass 11 AM Friday, May 6, 2022 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7600 Hwy 337 NW, Depauw, IN with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation 3 – 8 PM Thursday and after 9 AM Friday at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy 64 NW, Ramsey, IN
