Betty Cook Burnett, 87, died Friday, March 30, 2018, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Betty was born July 7, 1930, in Athens, Alabama. She was the daughter of Ethel Deemer Cook and Otis Cook. She married Paul K. Burnett on August 23, 1958, in Decatur, Alabama. In 1959, Betty and Paul moved to New Salisbury, Indiana and resided there until 2005 when they moved to Nevada.
Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers, James, Earl, Otis, Jr., Billy and George Cook, sisters, Margret Williams, Peg Edelbrock, and grandson, Christopher Bastin.
Surviving are her husband, Paul, daughters, Reta Meoli of Las Vegas and Diane Shane (Gene) of Meridian, Idaho, and son, John, of Portland, Oregon. Sisters, Judy Humprhreys of Clarksville,Tennessee and Nancy Mader (Gene) of Foley, Alabama.
Arrangements with Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey, Indiana.
Visitation will be Friday, April 13, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 14, at 2:00 pm followed by burial at Bethlehem Cemetery in Crandall, Indiana.
Reception will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in New Salisbury following graveside service. All friends and family are welcome.
