Obituary for John William "Bill" Wickersham

John William “Bill” Wickersham SR, age 91, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019. Bill was born May 7, 1928 at Harrodsburg, Kentucky to the late Paul and Elizabeth Prewitt Wickersham. He was retired from Reliance Universal, an auctioneer, former employee of Swarens Funeral Home, a Boy Scout leader and member of the Georgetown Christian Church.

Also, preceding him in death were a daughter, Jackie Baker and a brother, Paul L. Wickersham, Jr.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Joyce J. Burns Wickersham.
Son: John W. “Skip” Wickersham Jr. (Terri) of Midlothian, TX
Daughter: Jean Lawyer (Tim) of New Salisbury, IN
Sister: Agnes Lay of Bohon, KY
6 grandchildren: Amy Brown (Kris), Andrew Lawyer (Brittany), Stephen R. Baker, Sara Apperley (David), Jonathan Wickersham, (Jessica) & Rebecca Wickersham

12 Great Grandchildren

Visitation 3 – 8 P.M. Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy 64 NW, Ramsey, IN with private burial in Wolfe Cemetery.

Memorial service will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Georgetown Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to Portland Christian School, 8509 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40242
