Obituary for Robert E Armstrong


Robert E. Armstrong, passed away, Friday, November 25, 2016 at Baptist Floyd Hospital, New Albany, Indiana. He was born April 13, 1934 at Salem, Indiana, son of the late Ralph Owen and Thelma Gilland Armstrong.

Bob was a member of New Salisbury United Methodist Church, a charter member of Ramsey Lions Club and a member of Crandall Masonic Lodge # 591. Bob owned and operated a Lawn and Garden Sales at New Salisbury, as well as Armstrong Auto Sales and Tire Center. He was a licensed barber and owned and operated a barbershop for several years. He was also employed in management at E.I. DuPont and B.F. Goodrich Plants. He was currently employed at Heritage Ford as a sales representative.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia Fisher Armstrong.
Daughter: Denise Redden (Jim)
Son: Scott Armstrong (Cindy)
4 Grandchildren: Greg Redden (Kerri), Brooke Hanger, Richard Armstrong and Kate Armstrong.
4 Great Grandchildren: Kira Hanger, Sloan Hanger, Gabriel Redden and Khloe Redden
Sister: Evelyn Sandlin.

Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy 64 NW, Ramsey, Indiana with burial in Hursttown Cemetery.

Visitation 2 – 8 P.M. Sunday and after 9 A.M. Monday at the funeral home. Masonic Rites 7 P.M. Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, the family request expressions of sympathy to his church or charity of your choice.
