Obituary for Rosie Florence May
Rosie F. (Busick) May, age 77, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at her home in Corydon, Indiana. She was born on November 20, 1941 in Marengo, Indiana to the late Cleo Harold Busick and Grace Josephine (Byerly) Mills.
Rosie was a devoted homemaker and caregiver. She met and married the love of her life in 1963. She was an active member in both, her church, Milltown United Methodist Church, and community, living much of her life in Milltown. Her involvement in church and school touched many lives. She loved having people stop by for a visit and would often marvel how her house felt like “Grand Central Station.” Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was Rosie’s passion and delight.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father Thomas “Jack” Mills; brothers Harold Busick and David “Pete” Busick.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul David May of Corydon, Indiana; sons, Michael David May of Corydon, Indiana and Gregory Alan May (Diane) of Aberdeen, Scotland; daughter, Paula Suzanne Alexander (Kevin) of Santa Claus, Indiana; brother, Russell Busick (Sharon) of Jasper, Indiana; sister, Pamela Satterfield of Marengo, Indiana; grandchildren, Lauren Bly (Clinton), Hannah Murphy (Tristan), and Samantha May.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Swarens Funeral Home, Ramsey, Indiana.
Visitation will be Friday, August 2, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
