Obituary for Wilbur J. "Bud" Bigler
Wilbur James “Bud” Bigler, age 89, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018. Bud was born in Harrison County on October 31, 1928 to the late Clarence and Laura Jackson Bigler. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, worked at US Steel, DuPont, sold Fuller Brush products and retired after 25 years from Colgate Palmolive, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Bud was a member of the New Salisbury United Methodist Church, life time member of the Corydon VFW, and American Legion for 67 years.
Also, preceding him in death were his first wife, Norma Jean Allen; two brothers Paul and Roy Lee Bigler; sister, Helen Bigler Rainbolt.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Melody Kuhn Bigler; son, Terry Wayne Bigler (Deanna) of Cypress, Texas; daughter, Cynthia Ann Bigler Lang (James) of Corydon, IN; three grandchildren, one great grandchild; step-children, David Wall (Kay), Jeannine Dearlove (Tim) and Angela Pellman (Rick); 11 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great grandchildren; brother, Chester Bigler (Jane) of Plymouth, IN.
Funeral 1 P.M. Friday, August 3, 2018 at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy 64 NW, Ramsey, Indiana with burial in Hancock Chapel Cemetery, Depauw, IN.
Visitation 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
The family will forever be grateful for the love and care from the staff at Lincoln Hills Health Center, New Albany, Indiana.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the American Diabetes Association or Gideons International.
